Disappointed customer service
I called customers service for an Orbi new setup from a new internet company. I needed help setup my Orbi again.
Just to get an agent, with no manners and no customer service.
This unfortunate event with also witness with the tech of Frontier Internet. Who was helping finish setting up the modem.
It was an Agent with UK English , Im assuming Indian.

I just paid $55 for one of these company's USB Wi-Fi devices. They claim it's compatible with Windows 10 and 11, yet the device comes with no kind of installation CD with drivers for it.
You idiots, the manual says to go online and download the software from their website. Well, that would be nice if I could get online. Stupid! Why do you think I bought your product in the first place?
A Wi-Fi device to be able to get on the internet. Which, I cannot do if your devices need me to download drivers from the internet before I can install your product on my computer. Ridiculous and asinine, to say the least.
These companies are getting worse and worse. This is the fifth one I've purchased in the last month and all are the same, unbelievable.
- Product is useless if you have no other way to get online prior
- No software or drivers come in the box &windows 10&11 do not have drivers pre installed
- Waist of money

Wonderful performance
My WiFi speed was getting slow and I filed a complaint and they took immediate action. So i am fully satisfied
Defective product
This modem was installed in my home and when I called they told me it is not one of there modems. A young came to my home and told me he was going to be checking the aide of my home for installation and then he left.
I already jad this modem from previous Netgear service and he told me i would not have to make a change. I have never heard from the company since this young man came to my home.

Doesn’t work, my Orbi
It keeps blanking White. Ive reset it.
Ive unplugged it. Ive done everything Im supposed to and its still been blinking white
Resolved: Phone number never went through. App would not cancel so overall phone and I app and e-mail sent not responded to.
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Talked to tech line first that put in request to CS as it was a Saturday.
CS then reach out to verify that I wanted a full refund or discount for 2 years. Since I had already moved to a different virus and VPN provider I asked for a total refund which they credited back on card.
Tried to cancel subscriptions on nighthalk app but will not process. Do not want this service that I was just charged for.

This review is not about NetGears routers, as I find no fault in their products and have had good luck with them throughout the years. This review is about their incredibly poor customer service.
There is basically no customer service at NetGear, what you get when you call the help line is someone in a distant land who speaks very little English.
It took me right at a month to get a product returned for refund, as they would constantly say that my case was elevated to customer care. During the multiple phone calls I made, all I ever got done doing was asking the person at the other end to clarify, speak up, rephraseand I would constantly ask for someone (anyone) else that could speak English. They would never put someone else on the phone and I even asked for a manager..nope, they werent going to do that either.
Buyer bewareif you buy a NetGear product, once they have your money you will NEVER speak with an English-speaking person again. never!
You cannot contact NetGear HQ located in Californiathere is no phone number or email address that will put you in contact with an American at NetGear HQ. You cant file a complaint with NetGearall you will ever have is a phone number that puts you in touch with someone whom you will never be able to understand.
Next time it will be LINKsys all the way.

I purchased a Netgear router and was having difficulties with it. I called tech-support, which took me forever to reach, and then upon contacting someone, they would not help me unless I spent $500 because they said my brand new router was not under warranty anymore.
I had just bought it two days prior. So, after spending the money, they said I would have to have a technician come out, and that would cost me another two to $300 more. I ended up returning the router and I will never deal with this company ever again. Their customer service and tech-support were awful.
They just want money.
They don't want to help their customers. I have been spreading the word not to use this company or buy their products.

I was having slow connectivity issues on my pc due to a damaged ethernet cable. i had recently changed it out so i took that into account when i started complaining, thinking it could be a firewall issue since i had the exact same issue 2 months prior.
(couldnt find out the root cause as i reset my modem and router and that seemed to solve the issue as well as change the cable) Called netgear and they charged me $160 to diagnose my issue and fix it with what im assuming is a fake return policy as they have many workarounds so they can at least take fee's out of the money they return. The guy who was handling my situation's most helpful contribution to resolving it was changing the channels on my router and running speed tests. Apart from that he kept blaming my isp to the point where he was even recommending me new isp's saying my issues where all on them (which they werent) so anyway i went down a loophole of contacting both sides and them shifting the blame so i was left to figure it out on my own. turns out it was a damaged ethernet cable which i swapped out and fixed my issue.
After this i reached back out to netgear to get a refund. On my router logs it kept saying there was a dos attack which i thought actually meant something (it did not) basically those "dos attacks" are 99% false positives and will pop up from websites like facebook and youtube. I brought that up to the technician who was handling my situation and he was very dodgy and deflected every single time i asked him about that which later lead me to believe he knew and didnt want to tell me because he thought i was too stupid to figure it out on my own. Moving on i got on the phone with netgear about my refund and the guy on the other end starts telling me about some technician charge of $80 that they're going to take out of the total.
Im quite frustrated at this point because it doesnt make any sense to me.
The guy on the phone is telling me that they upgraded my firewall and cleaned up my network, claiming that i was recieving slow speeds which i wasnt as i had run multiple speed tests wirelessly and those devices got the speeds they were supposed to. Now im left with an $80 loss and wish i could give this review less than a 1 star.

My Netgear router stopped working in less than a years time.I wanted to return it for my money back because I had to have my internet back on asap.I got some technician that wanted me to pay one hundred dollars to tell me how to fix it.I wasn't going to unplug everything I needed for my work to try to fix the netgear router.Bad service bad tech and I will never buy Netgear again.I do not advise anyone to purchase netgear. Terrible experience for me.

The worst customer service ever
I just bought an Netgear AX1600 EAX12 and was trying to connect but for some reason the extender was not working. I got in touch with care which was outside US for help and they tell me to do 1 or 2 things and when i told them the problem still persists they end the chat every single time.
This is horrible experience.
I already put the device back in the box and will be returning it first thing in the morning. If possbile stay away from netgear.
