Purchased a Netgear 4500 router 4 days ago. Router works fine for connecting multiple laptops wirelessly.

However, when attempting to connect a Brother MFC to the router for wireless access, the router does not recognize the MFC. Netgear technical support does not cover "third party" connections, i.e., anything but the computer, unless you go to the premium technical support.

The Netgear only supports connecting to a computer with wireless connectivity and will not cover any other "third party" accessories. Netgear tech support even acknowledged that the laptop is a "third party", but that a computer "third party" is covered.
